Hi! My name is
Parker Faux
I grew up playing flash games and Roblox on my dad's work computer. I graduated to PC gaming as a teen when I got interested in old LucasArts adventure games. Then I played Bioshock for the first time, and my brain chemistry was altered forever.
I'm a writer and game designer, and my main area of study is the intersection between the two mediums. I firmly believe that stories and games can support each other and become something greater than the sum of their parts, and that short, story-based games are the sustainable future of this medium.
I graduated from USU in 2024 with a degree in Human Experience Design, and have since improved my writing skills with the help of the Narrative Department and other connections. I've worked on a lot of game jams (some of which you'll see on this website), and written way too many pages of barks, flavor text, and worldbuilding. I also do volunteer work with groups including ThumbCulture and The Gamecrafter's Collective. In my spare time, I like to cook, read, and paint minatures.
My current pursuit is a full-time role in the game industry, and to get there I plan to keep doing what I've always been doing: making games. I'm always looking to make new friends, so if you want to connect, don't hesitate!
